Funeral Arrangements for Fire Lt. Kenneth W. Greene Sr.
PHILADELPHIA — Fire Commissioner Adam K. Thiel today announced the funeral arrangements for Lt. Kenneth W. Greene Sr., who died Sept. 14 at Einstein Hospital. Lt. Greene had been transported to the hospital Sept. 3 while on-duty at Engine 37 on the B Platoon. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Media cameras are welcome inside the church only during the first hour of the service on Saturday.
Lt. Greene, 60, a veteran of the United States Army, had served the Department for 23 years on several engine and ladder companies. In 2007, his unit at Ladder 14 received a citation for helping to rescue two people from a house fire in Brewerytown.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Kenneth W. Greene Sr. Scholarship Fund via the Philadelphia Police and Fire Federal Credit Union.
