We are One Philly, A United City! And we’re ready to come together in the fight against litter and illegal dumping. Our Mayor, Cherelle Parker, is calling on residents across the city to help make this year’s Philly Spring Cleanup the biggest ever. Together, we can make our communities shine and move Philadelphia closer to becoming the safest, cleanest, and greenest big city in the nation.
We are excited to announce that the 2026 Philly Spring Cleanup (PSC) will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Now is the time to start thinking about projects, getting your block involved, and spreading the word to friends, family, and neighbors about what will be the biggest Philly Spring Cleanup event yet. The web portal to sign up for projects is now open.
This year’s effort carries even greater significance as our city prepares for America’s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026, a historic milestone that will shine a national and international spotlight on Philadelphia—the birthplace of American democracy. As we approach this celebration, Philadelphia is leaning into the nationwide Greatest American Cleanup, an initiative led by Keep America Beautiful that encourages communities across the country to come together to clean, green, and beautify their neighborhoods. Through the Philly Spring Cleanup, our residents are playing an important role in that national movement—helping ensure our city is ready to welcome visitors while showing pride in the neighborhoods we call home.
The Philly Spring Cleanup, the City’s signature event, has long served as Philadelphia’s largest citywide cleanup effort taking place in a single day. Residents can register a project—including park, block, and neighborhood cleanups—or sign up to volunteer for an existing project at www.phillyspringcleanup.com
The Philly Spring Cleanup will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with hundreds of cleaning and beautification projects happening across the city.
To support your efforts, the City will help direct volunteers to project sites, collect trash and recyclables from cleanup locations, and assist organizers in planning their projects to ensure success.
We encourage everyone to take part and join Mayor Cherelle Parker and thousands of volunteers in supporting one of her top priorities—making Philadelphia one of the cleanest, greenest, and safest cities in the nation.
