Mayor Parker to Attend and Speak at the 2026 State of Public Education

During the State of Public Education, School District of Philadelphia Superintendent, Dr. Tony Watlington Sr. will deliver an address to highlight the progress of the School District and students, and share where the District is headed in the future. Mayor Parker will attend and provide additional remarks as they pertain to City involvement and support for the District.

Mayor Parker to Host News Conference Announcing Plans for Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service

Location: Temple University’s Performing Arts Center, 1837 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA
A kickoff news conference will be led by Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker to announce plans for the 31st annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service on January 19th. A dramatic mural painted by area-students will be unveiled and Mayor Parker will present the 28th annual Harris Wofford Active Citizenship Award.
