REGISTER OF WILLS SABATINA ANNOUNCES VETERAN SUIT & DRESS DRIVE TO SUPPORT PHILADELPHIA VETERANS

The Office of the Register of Wills is proud to announce a Veteran Suit & Dress Drive taking place on Thursday, November 20th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The First African Baptist Church, located at 700–798 N. 67th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19151. The event is hosted in partnership with Pastor Terrence Griffith, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs and Resources, and The Wardrobe.

This community initiative invites pastors, interfaith leaders, and Philadelphia residents to donate new or gently used suits, dresses, and professional attire. All collected clothing will be provided to local veterans to support them as they pursue employment opportunities, attend formal functions, or take steps toward rebuilding their lives after service.

“Our veterans deserve every opportunity to succeed,” said Register of Wills John Sabatina, a United States Army Veteran himself. “This event is a meaningful way for our community to come together and give back to the men and women who have given so much to us. A single suit or dress can open a door—and we want to help open as many doors as possible.”

The Register of Wills’ Office has continued its commitment to public service through community outreach, including programs that uplift Philadelphia families, seniors, and veterans. This clothing drive reflects the office’s ongoing mission to serve with dignity, respect, and accessibility.

Donations will be accepted on-site during the event hours. Community members, churches, and organizations are encouraged to participate and help spread the word.

Speakers include Register Sabatina and fellow decorated Army Veteran Pastor Quincy C. Hobbs, Jr, who achieved the rank of Colonel during his service.
