1:00 p.m. Mayor Parker to Announce Initiative Preventing Deed Fraud

Mayor Cherelle L. Parker will hold a press conference announcing a new Records Department Deed Fraud Initiative developed in partnership with the Revenue Department. The first-of-its-kind in the country program will help prevent a deed from being recorded when there is an attempt to steal a home that is still in the name of a deceased person.
