- This Board was replaced by the Civil Service Commission of 1906.
- Agency History
- Under the provisions of Article XI of the Bullitt Bill of 1885, a Civil Service Board was created, composed of the Mayor and the directors of the City's executive departments to develop and administer an open examination system for the filling of city positions.
