Agency Function
The Board of Examiners of Plumbers was charged with the responsibility for licensing plumbers for work in the city of Philadelphia.

Agency History
The Board was appointed by the Director of Public Health and consisted of the chief of the Bureau of Health, one plumbing inspector, and two competent plumbers not officially connected with the city government. The Board worked with the Department of Public Health's Division of Housing and Sanitation.
