35-2.1 Treasurer's Accounts

Journal entries for all receipts and expenditures, balanced and examined annually in May; a separate account for the erection of the Alms House at Tenth and Pine streets is entered through 1769.
Vol. 1766-1780 holds, in rear, individual accounts concerning ground rents and bonds for 1768-1786
Vol. 1780-1796 holds, in rear, individual accounts of the Alms House Steward, suppliers, and lists of February 1781 and May 1788 of deeds, bonds and papers of Contributors and Overseers of the Poor. The Contributors' Treasurer apparently served also as treasurer to the Overseers (for the Poor Tax which comprised the bulk of poor revenue).
