- This Commission has ceased to function.
- Agency History
- Commission created March 28, 1955, and composed of eight mayoral appointees and, ex officio, the chairmen of the City Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and the Commissioner of the Department of Licenses and Inspections. The Commission was charged with studying the need for revisions of the Zoning Code of 1933 and formulating recommendations for better coordination of the zoning procedures and practices of the Department of Licenses and Inspections, the Zoning Board of Adjustment, the City Planning Commission, and City Council. The Commission's work was finished in the fall of 1957 and resulted in a number of amendments to the Code.
