The Mayor's Office of Information Services, in cooperation with the
Accessibility Compliance Office, is committed to the electronic and information
technology design standards outlined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation
Act. The official website of the City of Philadelphia www.phila.gov and
all related websites shall provide access to information for people with
disabilities.

It
shall be the policy of the City of Philadelphia that all web based information
and service be designed to provide access to people with disabilities.
It is the responsibility of each department and their
Internet development manager to ensure that the accessibility standards
outlined by the World Wide Web Consortia (www.w3c.org) and
Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act (www.section508.gov) are
reflected in the design of web pages.
