Building a career with Rebuild

Be part of the historic investment to improve our neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and libraries! Rebuild offers two workforce development programs designed to promote diversity and inclusion in the construction industry. Through its projects, Rebuild will provide people of color and women new pathways to skilled trade union apprenticeships.

Rebuild is currently recruiting individuals interested in pursuing careers the skilled trades. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

These programs offer:

  • Accelerated placement with union contractors and/or union apprenticeships.
  • Cohort-based career development training.
  • OSHA safety training.
  • Basic construction training.
  • A wage-based training stipend.
  • Union onboarding supports (initial dues payments, starter tools, etc.).
  • Ongoing coaching and professional supports.

 Application requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Philadelphia residency.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid child abuse clearance.
  • Criminal background that would not prevent employment in the trades.
  • Ability to pass frequent, unscheduled drug screenings.
  • Ability to engage in strenuous physical work.
  • Demonstrated interest in and commitment to career in construction.
