PHILADELPHIA – Tomorrow, SERVEPhilly will host the Civic Engagement Academy (CEA) 2.0 for residents citywide.  CEA 2.0 is designed prepare residents who are already engaged in their communities to take the next step toward becoming community leaders, organizers, and activists.  The full day course features 8 break-out training sessions, as well as complimentary breakfast and lunch.

CEA 2.0 is an advanced civic engagement training designed to build upon the knowledge developed in Serve Philadelphia’s Civic Engagement Academy and introduce Philadelphians to the principles of community organizing.  CEA 2.0 continues the momentum built by CEA in a Day, held last March in response to residents’ demand for information and tools on how to get involved in their communities.  More information about CEA can be found at Serve.phila.gov.
