DRAWBRIDGE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is supervisory work in the operation and routine maintenance of electrically activated drawbridges. The employee in this class supervises the activities of subordinate drawbridge operators and other subordinate personnel. Work in this class includes assigning, reviewing, evaluating, and training subordinates, operating and maintaining the drawbridges, and maintaining records. The employee in this class performs the duties on an assigned shift. Work is performed under the supervision of a technical superior. Work involves conditions which can only be partially controlled and involves some light physical activity.
