GENERAL DEFINITION

This is budget work of limited technical scope and complexity assisting departmental administrators in planning, preparing and maintaining an assigned portion of the budget programs for a City department or agency. Employees in this class participate in gathering information and preparing justifications for departmental budgets, monitor budgetary expenditures for conformance to allotments, and prepare and maintain periodic reports on a variety of budgetary transactions.

ALLOCATING FACTORS: (The following conditions must be met for a position to be allocated to this class.)

  1. Employees in this class must perform budget work of limited scope and complexity, assisting departmental administrators in planning, preparing and maintaining an assigned portion of the budget programs for a City department or agency.
  2. The employees in this class report to a technical supervisor.
