PLACEMENT SERVICES PROCESSOR I



GENERAL DEFINITION

This is civil service job placement work in the City's Central Personnel Agency. An employee in this class is responsible for performing a limited scope of assignments related to the processing of candidates on civil service eligibility lists. As employees in this class gain experience, they are exposed to a broad range of processing problems and occupational titles, and are expected to perform with greater independence as they approach the full performance level. Contact with eligibles, the general public, and central agency officials on matters pertaining to the certification process is a significant aspect of the work. The employee functions in a training capacity, and works under the supervision of a Placement Services Supervisor.
