PERSONNEL TRANSACTIONS PROCESSOR


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is personnel transactions work at the advanced level in the City's Central Personnel agency. Employees in this class are responsible for reviewing and approving a wide variety of employee status changes, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations, and updating the City's central Human Resources Information System (HRIS) as needed. Contact with departmental officials, union representatives and central agency officials to assure the accuracy and appropriateness of transactions and to provide advice regarding document preparation are significant aspects of the work. Work is performed under the supervision of a Personnel Support Services Supervisor.

  1. The position must perform work in the City's Central Personnel Agency.
  2. The position must perform personnel transactions processing work and HRIS data maintenance work at the advanced level.
