PRODUCTION CONTROL COORDINATOR


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is data processing production support work, in a computing environment, coordinating the flow of data systems requests through an automated software scheduler, and returning completed job runs back to the users. Work includes building databases and setting schedules, entering commands into the automated software, and ensuring that the system generates the requested job runs. Resolving processing problems, ensuring the integrity of the stored data on magnetic media, utilization of automation tools, and interfacing with assigned users and systems development staff are significant aspects of the work. Work is performed under the direction of a technical supervisor.
