Don’t Fall Down in The Hood Prevention

DFDITH Prevention is an intensive, multicultural community-based treatment program structured to educate and enhance productive behaviors for youth to divert from negative social behaviors as getting arrested with charges of crime primarily in the areas of possession and use of firearms including assault, theft, and narcotics among Philadelphia’s urban youth.

Serving Youth (ages 12-18) at risk of becoming a failure and becoming a negative part of the system. Sepficially youth that exhibit early behaviors of dysfunction and non-compliance (not listening, skipping school, not getting homework down, roaming past curfew, fighting, etc.).

This track is specific to boys and girls who are doing fairly well but need redirection.

Daily Program:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 4 pm – 7 pm

Program Intake: Four to six months average length of stay (approximate thirty hours per week). A daily meal and transportation to and from the program for those who need it.

Case Management:

We work with the youth and their families individually, in the community, at school, and at home. Components include:

1) Phase One – Self Stabilization

Comprehensive Review/Intervention of Youth Home Involvement

2) Phase Two – Self Development

Comprehensive Review/Intervention of Youth Court Involvement 

3) Phase Three – Ongoing Sustainability

Comprehensive Review/Intervention of Youth Community Involvement

Community Linkages:

We assist youth with identifying resources, organizations, and events that provide an opportunity for them to interact positively with groups and organizations that are designed to help them succeed.
