PHILADELPHIA — The City of Philadelphia released road closure information for the Philadelphia Veterans Parade, held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 12 p.m. The 5th Annual Philadelphia Veterans Parade honors the sacrifices of veterans in the tri-state region. The parade will feature more than 7,000 participants and more than 150 organizations.

The parade route begins at Juniper and Market Streets, and continues east on Market Street to 5th Street. The parade will be followed by the Veterans Festival, which takes place on Market Street—between 3rd and 5th Streets—from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Anticipated road closures:

  • Market Street, between 3rd Street and 6th Street — beginning at 7 a.m.
  • 5th Street, between Race Street and Chestnut Streets — beginning at 7 a.m.
  • John F. Kennedy Boulevard, from Schuylkill Avenue to 16th Street — beginning at 7 a.m.
  • Numbered cross streets along John F. Kennedy Boulevard, from 20th Street to 16th Street, between Arch and Market Streets — beginning at 7 a.m.
  • 4th Street, between Race Street and Chestnut Street — beginning at 8 a.m.
  • Broad Street, between Arch Street and Chestnut Street — beginning at 11:30 a.m.
  • Market Street, between Juniper Street and 6th Street — beginning at 11:30 a.m.
  • Numbered cross streets along Market Street, from Juniper Street to 3rd Street, between Arch and Market Streets — beginning at 12 p.m.

Minor delays can be expected during the course of the event. All roadways west of 6th Street will re-open by 4 p.m. Remaining streets will re-open as the Veterans Festival clears the area.
