The Philadelphia Fire Department partnered with the PFD Family Association to sell more than 1,750 T-shirts for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). The gray-and-pink shirts featured the PFD logo and the phrase “We Don’t Just Fight Fires, We Fight Cancer Too.” Limited quantities are still available.
The proceeds, totaling more than $16,300, will help Mercy hospitals to provide breast cancer screenings to those in need. Overall, PFD breast cancer T-shirt sales have raised more than $38,000 for Mercy in the past two years.
