The City of Philadelphia has updated its Real Estate Tax Balance webpage. Unveiled this week, the new page looks very different, but it provides the same online services many property owners rely on.

It allows you to search the Real Estate Tax balance for any property in Philadelphia. It also includes links to pay your bill, find out about assistance programs, get property details, and more.

Real Estate Tax balances are public. Type in your address, or 9-digit Office of Property Assessment (OPA) number, and the revamped page provides…

Quick access to:

  • Current Real Estate Tax amounts due
  • The Assessed Value of your property
  • A year-to-year breakdown of outstanding balances

Options for:

  • Paying your Real Estate Tax bill electronically
  • Printing a payment coupon
  • Finding assistance programs for homeowners

Links to helpful information, including:

  • Trash pickup days
  • School catchment
  • Zoning maps

The page is now easy to read and navigate from desktops, tablets or smartphones. It also meets new security and design standards. This will allow us to move even more City services online in the future.

Searching Real Estate Tax balances is now more intuitive for users. But we know change can feel inconvenient sometimes. During a transition period, visitors can choose to use the new page, or navigate to the old one.
