From concerts in the park, to yoga, to farmers’ markets, we’ve got plenty of fun options this weekend! The forecast finally shows cooler temperatures for the weekend, so get out and enjoy it! As always, be sure to check event pages for updates.

Oldies Night at Malcolm X Park

As part of the West Philadelphia Jazz Heritage Series in Malcolm X Park, hosted by Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell and Friends of Malcolm X Park, Friday Nite Oldies will take place on Fridays from 5 p.m.- 10 p.m.

When: Friday, July 6, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

Philly Cup Skateboard Series

The seventh annual Philly Cup Skateboard Series is under way– this is third event of the series. Registration is taken on site the day of competition from 11-11:45 a.m., and competitions begin at 12 p.m. Lunch is provided! There are age groups for: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-39, and 40+.

When: Saturday, July 7, 11 a.m.
Where: Rizzo Rink (1101 S. Front St., 19147)
Cost: $5 per competitor

Banner Art Project at Concilio’s Hispanic Fiesta

Participants can submit their 2018 Parade of Nations banner art projects at the Hispanic Fiesta at Penn’s Landing. Submit your project and enjoy one of Philadelphia’s biggest Latino events that unites and raises awareness of Latino culture and community through celebration.

When: Saturday, July 7, 2 p.m.-8 p.m.
Where: Penn’s Landing (1 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd, 19106)

Yoga on the Banks

Yoga on the Banks hosts outdoor practice for the summer season on both Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. Bring a mat or towel to practice on, sunglasses, sunscreen, and water bottle!

When: Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8, 11 a.m.
Where: Schuylkill Banks (right below the Walnut Street Bridge)
Cost: Free, donations welcome

Dickinson Square Farmers’ Market

Parks & Rec hosts this farmers’ market in partnership with Farm to City. The market has a full roster of vendors, so be sure to come out and buy local, delicious food.

When: Sunday, July 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: Dickinson Square (1600 E. Moyamensing Ave., 19148)
Cost: Free
