Love Your Park Week is just around the corner! From May 12-20, Love Your Park Week offers nine days of volunteer opportunities and special events that celebrate Philly’s parks.

We kick off Love Your Park Week with a citywide service day to “clean and green” our parks, engaging thousands of volunteers to clean up trash and litter, tend gardens and flower beds, care for trees, and more. The kick-off service day is followed by dozens of fun, free events in parks across Philadelphia that celebrate our public green spaces and invite neighbors to get involved.

Here are some special event highlights to get you in the spirit!

Signature service event at Fisher Park
May 12 | 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
571 W. Spencer St., 19120 [Map]

Olney neighbors are invited to help us clean, green, and celebrate Fisher Park, which was selected as the “Signature Site” for Love Your Park Week 2018.

Over 100 volunteers from the Fisher Park community will work alongside volunteers from our generous Love Your Park sponsors to bring some love and attention to Fisher Park and prepare this special neighborhood green space for summer.

In addition to volunteer projects that will clean and green the park, we’ll have fun art projects for kids, food,  music, and free T-shirts. We’ll hear from Mayor Jim Kenney, Councilwoman Cherelle Parker, and other VIPs about why spaces like Fisher Park are critical to the health of our city, and members of the Fisher Park Community Alliance will share information on upcoming park events and how neighbors can get involved!
More than 100 parks are participating in cleanups city-wide, and we need more volunteers! Find a service project near you.
