General Information

Who?

You (not your parents!) As a college student living in Philadelphia, it is mandatory that you complete your own census form. Your parents might still do your laundry, but they won’t be filling out your census form.

What?

The U.S. Census counts every U.S. resident once every 10 years. It’s a big deal. But if you want to be counted, you just have to fill out your census form. Not a big deal.

When?

If you’re off-campus, it’s happening right now! Look for your form in the mail,fill it out for you and your roommates, and send it back. On-campus students, we’ll come to you during the month of April.

Where?

You’re in Philly now, right? So, that’s where all the action is for you. If you live on-campus, check our calendar to find out when you’ll be counted. If you live off-campus, your form will come in the mail after March 15. Fill it out and send it back.

Why?

You can make Philly a better place! More people in Philly means more funding in Philly. That means better services, more jobs, a more awesome Philly. Who knows? Maybe you’ll stick around after graduation day.

2010 US Census Form

Filling out your census form is mandatory. Here's what to expect. If you're living off-campus, you'll get the 2010 Census Form in the mail after March 15th. Fill it out and mail it back. If you live on-campus, you'll fill out an Individual Census Form which will be made available to you in your residence hall/living quarters. Be counted in Philadelphia! You'll help the whole city gain federal funding for roads, schools, hospitals, and more. (See below for sample forms)
