- RFP for Business Plan Development Services for Wireless Philadelphia
A new business plan is needed to create consensus among Board, staff, and other key stakeholder groups regarding the operational priorities to guide the organization's decision-making over the next 18-24 months. The Business Plan is also intended to accurately document program costs from the start-up phase and ensure that the growth of Digital Inclusion programs is carried out in a manner that is financially sustainable. The completed business plan will provide a roadmap for WP to develop partnerships with nonprofit organizations, public and private funding sources and others to ensure access to sufficient revenue to sustain Digital Inclusion efforts. The Business Plan will help WP make the case for further investment by the public and private sector in advancing the cause of Digital Inclusion.
WP is currently seeking proposals from teams and/or individual third-party consultants to develop a Business Plan for Wireless Philadelphia. It is our expectation that the Business Plan will serve as a framework that will guide Board and staff priority setting for our operational activities over the next 18 to 24 months. The consultant(s) will incorporate input from WP's current Board and Advisory Committee members as well as our non-profit, funding, and business partners. Respondents are encouraged to review and be familiar with WP's Annual Plan for Fiscal Year 2007-08 and other background materials, which can be downloaded from here. WP is currently seeking proposals from teams and/or individual third-party Board development consultants to design and conduct Board Development activities. The main activities anticipated are a series of interviews with each Board member and key senior staff, culminating in a facilitated Board retreat.
