Mission
To provide an administrative and operational system inclusive of industry Best Practices through which effective and efficient reintegration services are delivered resulting in the successful transition of individuals from Federal, State and local jails back into local Philadelphia communities, effectively reducing the rate of recidivism.
Welcome to the Mayor's Office for the Reentry of Ex-offenders! This website has been designed to provide ex-offenders and their families with information regarding agencies, programs, services, employment opportunities and social events that will ultimately assist in the reintegration process.
Mayor John F. Street, as the Chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors for Reentry and Reintegration leads by example. Very early in his administration (during his first term as mayor) Mayor Street made a committment that his administration would work to improve the quality of life for all Philadelphians. To that end, Mayor Street has established MORE, the Mayor's Office for the Reentry of Ex-offenders.
