OLDER ADULT CENTERS

These multi-purpose centers provide programs and services designed for the older adult population. Provided programs include free health screening, help with transportation, entitlement needs, active and passive activities, full meals for fifty cents. Two social workers.

There are six Older Adult Centers (O.A.C.) in Philadelphia under the aegis of the Recreation Department:

Open to all Philadelphia County residents, age 50 & over.  These games are designed to provide a wholesome experience that offers our active senior population a chance to have fun and show their capabilities through participation in a variety of activities.

SENIOR ART CAMP
Our fourth year. Seniors from all over the city learn painting, drawing and fabric art for one week  in September. Call Suzette Coates at 215-685-1490 for further information.
