THE WANDERLUST WALKING CLUB is sponsored by the Philadelphia Recreation Department.   Each walk starts and ends at a public transportation stop.  Walks start promptly fifteen (15) minutes after stated meeting times unless noted otherwise in the schedule.

The distance is usually between four (4) and eight (8) miles.  Walks take place rain or shine.  A route sometimes varies from the printed schedule at the discretion of the leader.  Volunteers plan the schedules and lead the walks.

  • In case of uncertainty regarding routes, schedules or fares, please call SEPTA at 215-580-7800.
  • Safety is each person's individual responsibility.
  • Children under fifteen (15) must be accompanied by responsible adults.
  • Follow the leader to avoid getting lost.
  • If you are going to leave a walk at any time, please inform the leader beforehand.
  • When walking along a road, keep to the extreme LEFT and walk single file, facing oncoming traffic.
  • Be prepared to maintain a steady, moderate pace.
  • Follow those in front at sufficient distance to avoid collisions and whipped branch injuries.
  • Smoking, littering and dispoiling of plant, bird or animal life are forbidden.
  • NO PETS, PLEASE!

Call Wanderlust at 215-424-8510 for further information.
