Al Parolli (left) receives the Harvey Pollack Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Junior Baseball Federation from Recreation Program Director Leo Dignam, Deputy Commissioner William Carapucci and NBA public relations director and statistical guru - the legendary Harvey Pollack.
Al Parolli, a veteran of the Korean War was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals. He left professional Baseball for the Police Department where he served for 30 years. He was American Legion Baseball Chairman for ten years. He now serves as PA National Executive Committee Representative. He is in the International Police Hall of Fame, the PA Sports Hall of Fame and was awarded the Chapel of the Four Chaplains Distinguished Service Medal on two occasions.
