What are Camp William Penn staff members like?

Camp staff members are at least eighteen years old; the majority of them are attending college.  In order to work at camp, candidates must:

  • pass a drug screening
  • pass a criminal background check
  • pass a child abuse background check
  • successfully complete an intensive interview process

One quarter of our camp staff comes from Europe.  We have counselors and kitchen workers from Germany, Russia, England, Ireland, Poland and Bulgaria.

In addition, our general camp staff is supplemented with eight junior counselors.
