What happens at Camp William Penn?

Camp William Penn is a nature-based program providing children with activities and experiences not usually available in the city.

While at camp, children will:

  • row a boat
  • swim in a lake
  • sing songs, tell stories and roast marshmallows around a campfire
  • play outdoor games and sports
  • sleep in a tent in the forest
  • catch a frog or a salamander

Each day is different at camp.  For example, one might spend the afternoon swimming, working on an arts & crafts project or hiking in the forest. 

The following is an example of a typical camp day schedule:
