SPRING ART SHOW BULLETIN - PAGE 2

5. Do not submit work that is excessively fragile or extremely heavy.
6. All ceramic pieces must be finished on the bottom and sit level.
7. Use clear Scotch Tape to attach lids to ceramic pieces.
8. All flatwork must be mounted.  Districts having a District Art Show will check with their District Chairperson for the due date for their work. Districts not having a District Art Show should have their work to their District Chairperson by Friday, May 11th. Make sure to clip or tape an entry tag on the back or the bottom of all work. Make sure the tag is firmly attached.
9. Work not approved by the District Chairperson will not be accepted.
10. If the participant is not interested in selling the piece, please be sure that the NFS (Not For Sale) box is checked on the entry tag.
11. Follow the directions for the official entry tag. Make sure to fill out the Visual Arts and Judges Record Sheet. Each facility is to fill out a Record Sheet for the pieces chosen at their site. They should make a copy for their own records.
This is our 22nd year at the Gallery at Market East. At this location, thousands of Philadelphians see our work. Therefore, the pieces submitted to the exhibition should be the best that your facility and district have to show. Remember, as a teacher, the work of your students reflects not only their talent, but yours also. All work must be of finished quality. This exposure helps to promote the Department and the programs at your facility.

AGE CLASSIFICATIONS
Preschool, 6-10, 11-13, 14-17, Adult, Senior Citizen, Special Population.
Judges take the exact age of the participant into consideration. Therefore it is very important to have the work tagged properly. Adult pieces should be tagged A, or if the participant is a Senior Citizen, S.C. Special Population pieces should be marked S.P. Work with no age filled in will not be accepted.

COLLECTION OF EXHIBIT ITEMS
All district entries must be at Marian Anderson prior to 2:00 on Thursday, May 16, 2007 between 2 PM and 4 PM. Artwork not at Anderson on time is ineligible. The means of delivery should be worked out by the District Manager and the District Art Chairperson, working together.

MATTING AND HANGING OF THE SHOW
The hanging of the show will be at Marian Anderson R.C. on May 17, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. If the District Chairperson cannot assist at the matting on Friday, an ALTERNATE MUST BE ASSIGNED. The more help we have, the less time it will take!
