BLACK HISTORY MONTH
2007 ART CONTEST PROGRAM BULLETIN

PROGRAM
Share your artistic talents, both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional, by submitting a piece celebrating, remembering or expressing people, history, events, etc. relating to Black History Month
GUIDELINES
All work must be done at a Recreation Department facility.
All work must be relevant to the Black History Month theme.
All artwork is to be tagged properly and pemanently: Name, Age, Facility
(Use a permanent Marker)
All work is to be turned into the District Chairperson two (2) days before deadline so that they can complete the required listing of all artwork being turned in by the district.
Flatwork size requirements: no larger than 16" x 20", including matting.
Three-dimensional work requirements: no wider than 15" wide and 19" high.
DATES
All entries must be delivered to Fisher Park before 4 PM on January 26th
Judging will take place on January 29th
Artwork goes on display at Free Library´s Children´s Section and 1515 Arch.
Exhibit ends on February 28th.
AWARDS
Certificates will be awarded to all participants, Winners will receive Certificates of Award
DISPLAY
Artwork will be on display in two locations: Free Library - Main Branch - Children´s Department
                                                           1515 Arch Street - 10th floor
ARTWORK IDEAS
Drawings, paintings, ceramics, sculptures, etc. of individuals, historical scenes, ethnic designs, etc. are all acceptable. (Avoid religious themes)
