SOCCER START CAMPS - 2008

MISSION STATEMENT - the Soccer Start Camps are designed for, but not limited to, the children of the recreation sites participating in start up soccer programs in the Philadelphia Department of Recreation. Volunteers who coached or officiated in this program are also invited to be a part of the camp. The camp goal is to instill a spirit of cooperation, build self-esteem, and encourage healthy competition and to develop athletic abilities in youth living in under-served areas. Instruction will consist of skill training, drills and small-sided games with the emphasis on fun and learning the fundamentals of the game of soccer.
