An Instructional Camp for Beginning Golfers.  Boys and Girls, Ages 11 to 15.

Philosophy: To teach basic skills, to learn rules and etiquette and different types of scoring.

Local Golf Professionals provided by the PGA Philadelphia Section will conduct the clinics at the driving range. Staff will include local college players and high school players. 12 hours of lessons.

Burholme Driving Range

Week of June 30, 2008: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
Only four days with extended times due to the July 4th Holiday

Session One - 9:30 A.M. to Noon; Session Two - 11:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

Maximum number of campers - 30 per session.
All Golf Equipment will be provided.

Fee: $25.00 per camper (Money Orders Only)

Philosophy: To introduce the game of golf to beginners, to teach basic skills, to learn rules and etiquette and to have fun learning a game that can provide a lifetime of enjoyment.

Local Golf Professionals provided by the PGA Philadelphia Section will conduct the clinics at the driving range. Staff will include local college players and high school players.

Each participant will enjoy unlimited hitting at the driving range, all participants play miniature golf. Prizes and participaton certificates given to all campers.

2008 PLAYGROUND/COMMUNITY GOLF CLINICS

The 2008 Playground Community Golf Clinics will be visiting over 25 Recreation Day Camp sites this summer throughout the City of Philadelphia from July 9 to August 8.

This program will be for Boys and Girls, ages 8 to 12 that are already participating at the sites in their Summer Camp programs.

The Philadelphia Recreation Department Golf Programs are supported by the The Philadelphia Section of The Professional Golf Association, The United States Golf Association Foundation, The Tiger Woods Foundation and The Golf Association of Philadelphia and numerous other generous supporters.   Contact Jim Marino at 215-683-3686 for an application or more information.
