BULLETIN BOARD CONTEST

 

PROGRAM PURPOSE
Every facility in the Department should have a bulletin board that catches the public's eye and introduces the facility to the public. The bulletin board can be decorated to emphasize March events, such as Spring, Wind, Kites, Baseball, St. Patrick's Day, or the birthdays of famous people.

PROGRAM AND DATES
Leaders must notify their Visual Arts Chairpersonif they wish to participate. If there are more than four entrants, the District chairperson will arrange a district level competition. District Chairpersons must report their entrants (maximum of five (5) by Wednesday, March 5, 2008 to Valerie Arhondokis at 215-685-2871.  When reporting your district's entries, be sure to give the days and times when each facility will be open and can be judged. City-level judging will take place between March 10 and March 17, 2008.

In addition to these 100 points, up to five bonus points can be earned for participant involvement.
   
AWARDS
Winners in the first, second and third place will receive certificates. The top two winners (two first place winners in case of a tie, or first and second place)  will receive a $15 gift certificate for art supplies from S&S Worldwide.
