JUNIATA PARK OLDER ADULT CENTER
Juniata Park Older Adult Center, a unit of the Philadelphia Recreation Department began serving older adults of the Fishtown, Kensington, Juniata, Port Richmond, Frankford, Mayfair, Wissinoming and other Northeast communities in January 1989.
The center emphasizes health and fitness programs for active members, as well as a specialized fitness program for frail participants. The center publishes a monthly newsletter which highlights upcoming events and activities.
Daily activities include Various Dance Classes, Spanish Class, Bridge, Ceramics, Painting, Tai Chi, Aerobics, Bingo, Knitting and Crocheting, and Parties and Social Groups. Hot Lunches are served daily.
