FALL FOR YOUR PARK

Saturday, October 13th
9 am - 1 pm

You are cordially invited to take place in the transformation of Cobbs Creek Park, the Laura Sims Skatehouse, and the Cobbs Creek Recreation Center on Saturday, October 13th during the 9th annual Fall For Your Park, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Philadelphia Green Program, the Cobbs Creek community, the Philadelphia Department of Recreation, Fairmount Park, and the citywide neighborhood parks network. This year's event is also funded by the Neighborhood Transformation Initiative, Aveeno, the National Park Network, the William Penn Foundation, and the Philadelphia Chapter of the Garden Club of America.
 
Volunteers are needed to assist with various improvement projects including woodland restoration, tree planting, gardening, and litter collection. All tools and materials will be supplied.
 
On the day of the event, registration will begin at 8 am at the Laura Sims Skatehouse at 63rd & Walnut Streets. The workday will finish up by noon with a brief program to conclude the event. Lunch and t-shirts will be provided for all volunteers while supplies last.
