Please read this employee manual thoroughly and keep it as part of your personal files for future reference. You should also feel free to ask your supervisor any questions that are not answered here.
The Recreation Department's Human Resources Office constructed this orientation manual to provide new employees with an overview of the general benefits of your position as well as to highlight some departmental and City policies. The Human Resources Office provides this manual as a general guide only. It is not intended as a definitive statement of the benefits or policies of the department or City of Philadelphia. The information contained in this manual may also change as a result of collective bargaining negotiations or changes in the Civil Service regulations and the Home Rule Charter.
In the event that this employee manual unintentionally misrepresents any City/department policy or employee benefit, we apologize for any inconvenience.
We hope your employment with the City is enjoyable, rewarding and fulfilling.
