THE DAY CAMP PROGRAM

Philly Rec Day Camps 2008

Over 140 Day Camps held at neighborhood playgrounds and recreation centers.

 

CAMP WILLIAM PENN

 

Due to the need for repairs and facility maintenance, Camp William Penn will not open for the summer of 2008.

 

The Philadelphia Department of Recreation is sponsoring three camp alternatives:

 

Philly Rec Day Camps - The Department of Recreation hosts 150 days camps conveniently located throughout the city. 

 

Camp Ladore - Camp Ladore is an overnight camp located in the Moosic Mountains of Pennsylvania.  It serves children between the ages of eight twelve.  Children registered through the Department of Registration can attend for $20, a half price discount of the typical camp fee.

 

Outward Bound - Leadership Urban Expeditions are for teens ages thirteen through sixteen.  They are designed to engage students with their peers in challenging environments in order to develop leadership and personal skills applicable to everyday life at home and school.  Youth registered through the Department of Registration can attend for $90, a fraction of the typical fee of $390.
