Nicetown Courts, Germantown Avenue

January 2012 - Nicetown Court is one of a series of neighborhood revitalization projects that will enhance both public amenities and private property in the Nicetown section of the city near the Wayne Junction Train Station. Using HOME funds and Housing Trust Funds, Nicetown Housing Partners, LP constructed 37 rental units for residents with income at or below 60% of Area Median Income, and first floor commercial spaces. Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority selected Graduate Partners, LP to transform a vacant parcel of land at 1001-1035 S. 17th St. into a sustainable mixed-use development. The development, to be called Carpenter Square, includes 2,000 square feet of commercial space, 11 single-family townhomes, 6 condominiums, neighborhood open space and off-street parking.
