    • Real Estate ownership information may be obtained from the Board of Revision of Taxes at 34 South Eleventh Street, Seventh Floor Philadelphia, PA 19107.
    • Copies of Real Estate Deeds may be obtained from Philadelphia Records Department, Room 154 City Hall Philadelphia, PA 19102.
    • The Redevelopment Authority manages and makes available to the public two inventories of real estate:
      1. Property owned by the Redevelopment Authority itself (including property previously acquired by eminent domain), and
      2. Property owned by the City of Philadelphia that is both vacant and "surplus" (i.e., the City has no plan to use the property).

    • These inventories include both vacant lots and vacant structures.
    • Most of the structures are attached, row-style houses in need of substantial rehabilitation in order to be habitable. The properties may be made available to individuals, businesses or organizations at fair market value. Via the Vacant Property Review Committee.
    • The vacant lots are also available as Urban Gardens and as side yards.
    • The Commerce Department has an inventory of available Industrial sites that have or are being reclaimed through the Brownfields Program. Call Jon Edelstein at (215) 683-2028
    • Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation has properties that are available for incoming Industry.
    • Call Paul Deegan at (215) 496-8020.
    • Public Property sells property that is surplus to the City needs at Public Auction from time to time.
    • Add your name to the list to be notified of such sales. Call Lowanda Scott (215) 686-4442 for information.
    • Philadellphia County Sheriff conducts monthly sales for delinquent taxes and delinquent mortgages or liens. Call the Sheirff at (215) 686-3535 or visit their website at http://www.phillysheriff.com/index.html.

    City of Philadelphia to Sell
      The Commissioner of Public Property of the City of Philadelphia will receive bids at an upcoming auction for the sale of City-owned property, listed below, under certain terms and conditions.     Surplus Properties
      All properties are sold in "as is" condition. All sizes of properties are approximations. The City of Philadelphia, does not warrant property sizes, conditions, zoning, street frontage, or ability to build on site. It is the responsibility of the potential bidder to ascertain all necessary information, including legal description of property, before bidding on same. Winning bidders will be required to sign the Department of Public Property bid form at time of successful bid, which specifies terms and conditions of sale, and to make required deposit of 15%, with $800.00 being the minimum deposit.
