 Supervise and manage the fiscal and administrative support staff of the department. Serve as press and legislative liaison for the department. Serve as the department's representative on the Fairmount Park Commission and the Art Commission. Prepare legislative testimony for the department as needed. Previous government experience includes four years as a Deputy Mayor for Community Affairs. Served as Executive Director for various Mayor's Commissions as well as the Administrator for the Philadelphia City Scholarship Program. Also served for five years in the Health Department providing technical assistance to the milk and food industry to ensure compliance with city health regulations. Federal government experience included a three-year stint as a Management Intern with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mr. John Herzins has received his Master's Degree in Public Administration from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Science from Drexel University. |
