Mission Statement
The Prison Maintenance Division is a service-oriented team of skill professionals engaged in the maintaining of prison facilities and grounds our mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for inmates and staff and apply our skills to the ever changing prison environment and meet all challenges with dignity and distinction.

Vision Statement
The Prison Maintenance Division envisions that all prison facilities will be well maintained with the appropriate staff complement, which will extend the life cycle of prison buildings and equipment. A 24 hour turn around in handling all routine maintenance requests, 24 hour coverage of all facilities. A preventive and predictive maintenance program that is inclusive to all prison assets, a training program that provides for the never-ending thirst of knowledge of new technologies and good trade practices.

About us
The Philadelphia Prison System Maintenance Division utilizes 52 full time employees; the department is responsible for the construction and renovations of PPS buildings and a maintenance repair program. We also oversee 6 million dollar annual capital project budget. We are an organization that's been around since the inception of prisons and has trained countless inmates in the repair and maintenance of PPS buildings
