Surveys: 6th Survey District[Record group 90-6]

- The 6th Survey District was created in 1854 to cover the 18th and 19th Wards. With changes of ward boundaries, by 1868, it covered the 18th, 19th and part of the 25th Wards. In 1890, it was enlarged to cover the 18th, 19th, and 31st Wards and part of the 25th, 33rd and 43rd Wards, north to Allegheny Avenue. In the 1929 reorganization of the districts, the 6th District covered the 11th, 12th, 16th - 19th, 31st, and parts of the 33, 43rd & 45th Wards. After the 1932 reorganization, it had jurisdiction over the 18th, 19th, 25th, 28th, 31st, 33rd, 37th, 38th, 43rd and 45th Wards.
