**Selected articles from Newsletter of the Philadelphia City Archives**

The Newsletter of the Philadelphia City Archives was published from 1967 to 1993. It was superceded by the Philadelphia Record, which was published in 1995 and 1996. There were many articles in the Newsletter which relate to the records of the Archives and the various uses in which they may be put by researchers. Please note that since the majority of the articles are more than 20 years old, some information has been superceded by later events and accessions of the Philadelphia City Archives. Therefore, they are not completely accurate. However, the basis concepts for the use of the records remains valid and they are offered here as a service to researchers and others interested in the collections and holdings of the Philadelphia City Archives.
