- The Division of Housing & Sanitation was in charge of inspections and investigations to discover and correct insanitary conditions affecting health; regulation of multiple dwellings; examination of plans and inspection of plumbing work, and licensing of plumbers. Examination of plumbers for licensing. Examination of plumbers for licensing is conducted by the Board of Examiners of Plumbers.
