Vols. 1824-1870, 1884-1885 also add patient's occupation, place of birth, and case history. Other information is included for various years:
1824-1827, a list of Resident Physicians and Surgeons.
1833-1834, case number, patient's physical description, date of and result of post-mortem examination in event of patient's death.
1843, an entry for the Black Women's Fever Ward.
1864-1870, marital status of patient, number of children (if patient is female), name of Resident Physician, and post-mortem results.
1884-1885, indication whether patient is temperate or intemperate, patient's family history (health of near relations and causes of death), physical appearance, weight, present and former residences, and name of attending physician.
The volume for the years 1864-1869 groups several case histories of given diseases to compile general view of symptoms and responses to treatments, and adds (pp. 45-48) report on cholera epidemic of 1866 at Alms House.

Volumes January 1864-September 1869, November 1884-June 1885 are for the Men's Medical Ward; Volumes June 1864-January 1870, October 1876-April 1877 are for the Women's Medical Ward; Volume January-December 1843 is for the Black Women's Medical Ward.

Vols. July 1875-April 1883, March 1884-July 1884 add patient's race.

The Card Index to this Record Series is in two formats: a lesion index which lists type of lesion and autopsy case numbers where instances may be found and a numerical and chronological index which includes autopsy number; patient's name, race, sex, marital status, and birthplace; ward in which a patient, date of autopsy, volume and page of post-mortem volume where autopsy may be found, special notes (which is usually doctor's name), clinical diagnosis, and pathological diagnosis.

Vol. April 1865-December 1870 adds case number, indication if patient is temperate or intemperate, number of patient's children, a summary of an epidemic of purulent ophthalmia occuring among the foundlings in the Childrens' Asylum in October 1865, and the results of experimentation with Liebig's Soup as a substitute for mother's milk.
Vol. March 1884-January 1885 adds patient's occupation, weight, and present and former addresses.
