(1) No operator shall drive onto or allow his vehicle or street car to remain upon a bridge or the approach thereto beyond the bridge signal, gate, or barrier after a bridge operation signal has been given.

(2) Whenever an operator stops for a bridge operation signal indication, as aforesaid, he shall stop so as not to impede traffic movement within any intersection adjacent to or near said bridge.
