CHAPTER 9-1100. FAIR PRACTICES
§9-1110. Private Right of Action. [676]
(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 9-1106 to 9-1109, any
person aggrieved by a violation of this ordinance shall have a right of action
in a court of competent jurisdiction and may recover for each
violation:
(i) Back pay and other actual
damages;
(ii) Exemplary damages of three hundred ($300) dollars for
each violation;
(iii) Reasonable attorney’s fees and court
costs;
(iv) Such other relief, including injunctive relief, as the
court may deem appropriate.
(2) Nothing in this ordinance limits the
right of an injured person to recover damages under any other applicable law or
legal theory.
